Electrical Substations

The Kelburne Construction team are proficient in dealing with the environmental hazards inherent to electrical substations and other energy and utility facilities. We are approved to carry out building and costruction work for Scottish Power, Hydro Electric schemes and Gas storage facilities where we are the principal contractor working directly for the client. Our staff are authorised, trained and fully qualified for the specific requirements of building and construction in the electrical substation and utility sectors.

This involves construction and building works around live cables, including earthworks, excavation, reinforced concrete works and drainage – all in close proximity to live and high voltage equipment in electrical substations and utility stations.

We always work to H&S benchmark BSEN ISO 18001, and in these cases our staff are particularly conscientious and closely adhere to all electrical, water and gas substation controls, regulations and site specific safety procedures.
