Scottish Power
Kelburne have been a framework contractor with Scottish Power for many years, working collaboratively with them on substations and power generation sites.
The work is widespread across central and southern Scotland and varies from small to very large sites and includes refurbishment and alterations to existing sites, as well as construction of new sites.
The work can typically include construction of new switchrooms, refurbish existing switchrooms, refurbishment and new construction of transformers and reactors, security fencing, ducting, open lay cabling, drainage, sumps, sump pumps, steelwork, flooring, hard and soft landscaping, roads, earthworks etc.
Kelburne carry a core of skilled staff and carry out the majority of the work on these sites with in-house teams, with some specialist works being carried out by approved subcontractors with whom we have long term working relationships to ensure that we can rely on their quality of service.
We have numerous staff who are experienced on working on Scottish Power sites and who authorised to access, carry out works and hold documents to work on live substations up to and including 400kV.
